Life Breath

dc 82: PORTRAYAL/ABBILD
The idea of portraying in art suggests that the picture contains the possibility of the situation that it represents. The representation in my picture is that the branch is the icon for that which creates oxygen, and the bird is the icon for that which needs oxygen in order to have life. So my piece is called "Life Breath."
This theme was chosen by our host this week, lovely Ariane. To see more interesting art contributions for this theme, visit Ariane, where she has linked those playing this week.
Thanks for dropping in today and I hope to see you again soon. *smiles* Norma

  1. I like your Life Breath a lot, this sensual combination of colour, texture and lines is beautiful and poetic and this little bird looks so cute, love him!

  2. Wonderfully delicate...but I've come to expect that from you ;) The meaning behind it though is very purposeful and gives a greater perspective to this piece- which of course makes it even more endearing!

  3. i find your explanation explanatory! i'm sure i wasn't debating that, but i am still very much thrilled by your outcome. there's a whole wide world out there, on teabags, and you are the fairy--queen of it!

  11. This is so wonderful! It reminds me of oriental art where the subject is simple, yet so full of meaning.

I sent you an email with a picture attached of the painting I did including the tea bag art you mailed me. It may be a little crazy for you, but now I can hang your art on my wall where I can see it every day.

  12. great colours Norma

I love the cycle of tree giving, bird needing and all contained on that wonderful backdrop of a tiny window of teastained paper. It never fails to impress me :)
